AURORA | Originally scheduled to run prelims on Thursday and finals on Saturday, both the Centennial and Continental championship track meets were altered by weather.

Both meets — the Centennial League at Stutler Bowl in Greenwood Village and the Continental League at EchoPark Stadium in Parker — will now shift to a Friday-Saturday format.

In addition to individual league accolades, the championship meets provide last chances for Aurora teams and individuals (Cherokee Trail, Eaglecrest, Grandview, Overland and Smoky Hill in the Centennial League and Regis Jesuit in the Continental League) to post results that will either solidify for put them in the top 18 of each event that advance to the May 16-18 state track meet.

The EMAC held its championship meet last weekend and it was unaffected by weather as Rangeview won both the boys and girls championships.
