2018-19 average: 12.5 points, 2.8 steals, 2.4 assists, 1.2 rebounds
Season highlights: The potential that has been building at Vista PEAK over the past few seasons began to come to fruition in 2018-19 for coach Howard Payne’s team, which won 20 games, repeated as EMAC champions and earned the No. 11 seed in the postseason in its first season in Class 5A. The Bison featured more depth than in years past, so they didn’t have to lean as heavily on Evans as they did last season when she averaged 15.1 points per game, but her contributions were again crucial to the team’s success. Evans’ scoring average dipped slightly to 12.5 points per game — including 16 double-digit scoring games, topped by a 21-point output against Liberty — but she improved her other statistical contributions across the board. She averaged just a shade under three steals a game and also contributed 2.4 assists per contest on her way to All-EMAC accolades and her second straight trip to the A-Town All-Star Game.
Evans vs. Aurora schools: vs. Aurora Central (16 points, 4 steals); vs. Rangeview (14 points, 4 steals, 3 rebounds; 9 points, 3 assists); vs. Gateway (8 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks); vs. Hinkley (16 points, 2 steals)
