Season highlights: Coach La Monte Weddle’s Rangeview team took a step forward during the 2018-19 season, which produced a 20-win campaign and ended with a Class 5A Sweet 16 appearance. The rise of some young talent accounted for some of that improvement for the Raiders, but the steady contributions of Broadus and two other senior regulars really brought it all together. Broadus had an outstanding junior year playing a lot of time down in the paint, but she gravitated more to the perimeter as a senior and knocked down 46 3-pointers — tops on her team and just outside the top 10 in all of 5A — which helped her finish with a scoring average of better than 15 points per game for the second straight season. Her rebounding numbers dipped a bit and she finished second on her team in 5.8 rebounds per contest (with three double-doubles on the season), while she also ranked second at 2.5 steals per contest. Broadus finished her prep career with more All-EMAC accolades and a third trip to the A-Town All-Star Game.
Broadus vs. Aurora teams: vs. Eaglecrest (12 points, 2 rebounds); vs. Cherokee Trail (3 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists); vs. Hinkley (16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals); vs. Vista PEAK (18 points, 4 steals; 14 points, 8 rebounds); vs. Aurora Central (12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals); vs. Gateway (9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals)
