GRAHAM IKE

School: Overland High School

Year: Junior

Height: 6-foot-9

2018-19 averages: 17.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists

Season highlights: Ike saw minimal action with coach Danny Fisher’s Overland team as a sophomore, but the 6-foot-9 post player made a huge splash as a junior as he helped the Trailblazers to a 19-7 record and a trip to the Denver Coliseum for the Great 8 round of the Class 5A state playoffs. As the fulcrum around which Overland worked its offense, Ike tallied double digits in 24 of his 25 games (and finished with nine points in the other, a 17-point Trailblazers’ win) for a team-best average of 17.6 points per game. The first time All-Centennial League first team selection also recorded 17 double-doubles — registering one in each of his last six games — and matched Rangeview’s Quincey Jewett for the best rebounding average among Aurora players at 12 per contest. Ike also understood how defenses played him and was an eager passer as he averaged 2.1 assists to finish third on the team in the category. He will play in the A-Town All-Star Game for the first time.

Ike vs. Aurora teams: vs. Regis Jesuit (19 points, 12 rebounds); vs. Rangeview (26 points, 14 rebounds); vs. Eaglecrest (10 points, 8 rebounds; 20 points, 11 rebounds; 15 points, 15 rebounds); vs. Smoky Hill (15 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists; 21 points, 11 rebounds);  vs. Grandview (16 points, 10 rebounds; 17 points, 9 rebounds); vs. Cherokee Trail (16 points, 17 rebounds; 17 points, 13 rebounds)
