Season highlights: Ruckard got his feet wet at the varsity level as a sophomore, then moved seamlessly into a larger role for coach Jarris Krapcha’s Eaglecrest team, which finished 15-10 and advanced to the Class 5A Sweet 16 where it was stopped by Overland. With four of the Raptors’ top five scorers from last season graduated, Ruckard helped picked up some of the slack as one of three double-digit scorers with an average of 10.1 points per game. His season-high in points last season was 13, but he matched or bettered that 10 times this season. He registered a team-best 1.8 steals per contest, finished second on his team with an average of 2.8 assists and also pulled down 3.2 rebounds per contest. Ruckard will play in the A-Town All-Star Game for the first time.
