AURORA | It’s so far too close to tell whether Aurora will allow medical marijuana sales, grows and manufacturing. Two ballot questions are neck-and-neck, as of 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Voters opposed allowing medical marijuana cultivation and sales in Aurora once before, but some city leaders said earlier this year they believe moods are different now than they were in 2010 when the measure failed by nearly 4,000 votes.
Question 3G asked voters whether Aurora shall impose a 4 percent sales tax on medical marijuana and medical marijuana-infused products. The other asked whether the city shall license cultivation facilities and manufacturing facilities.
In Arapahoe County, about 49 percent of Aurora voters opted to charge the 4 percent sales tax and about 50 percent voted to allow marijuana grows and manufacturing.
