The material is straight from Broadway, but the actor is pure Coloradan.

The production of the one-man comedy “Defending the Caveman” set to hit the PACE Center in Parker on June 1 and 2 will feature Cody Lyman, a Durango native who studied theater at Colorado State University. The comedy, which opened on Broadway in 1995 after successful runs in San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, focuses on the differences between the sexes.

The show will be a homecoming for Lyman, who has relocated to Chicago. Lyman joined the “Caveman” touring production in 2004, after working as a troupe member at the Second City Conservatory.

Tickets are available at 303-805-6800 or www.PACEcenteronline.org. The PACE Center is located at 20000 Pikes Peak Ave. in downtown Parker.
