AURORA | Aurora police have arrested someone in connection with a fatal stabbing that in occurred in the city’s Centrepoint neighborhood June 30.

Authorities were dispatched to 965 S. Ivory Circle shortly about 6 p.m., June 30 after receiving reports of a stabbing, according to an Aurora Police Department press release issued July 1. 

Officers found an unidentified man who had been stabbed, police said. He died from those injuries at a local hospital approximately nine hours later.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office is expected to identify the man in the coming days.

Aurora police have since arrested an unnamed suspect in connection with the man’s death.

The stabbing is being investigated by the police department’s Major Crimes/Homicide Unit, according to police.
