AURORA | A man found dead inside a car parked in north Aurora last week has been identified as A Jep Khan, according to the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Khan, 34, was pronounced dead around 7:30 p.m., May 14 near the 9000 block of East 16th Avenue, Aurora police announced last week. 

The local coroner’s office said Khan, an Aurora resident, was found dead in front of 1601 Alton St. in north Aurora.

The cause and manner of Khan’s death are still under investigation, according to Sherronda Appleberry, chief deputy coroner for the Adams County Coroner’s office.

The Aurora Police Major Crimes/Homicide Unit is investigating Khan’s death.

Police responded to the area near where Khan was found after receiving reports of “a possible dead person in the area,” according to the Aurora Police Department.
